BLB A better warning that the missus is nearly home is to get a smart switch with a light plugged in - then link your missus's phone to it using IFTTT and get it to come on automatically when she's a mile from home. That gives you time for the vinegar strokes, wipe the screen and then get the hoover out.

It's pretty good when linked to the indoors chime. Warns me that my missis has just got home so that I can turn the tele off and pick up the hoover.

Yeah I got the battery one. By the time my WiFi has picked up the fact that there is someone lurking by my front door and has notified my phone, the bastard will have nicked my parcel and funked off 10 minutes ago.
